Wednesday 27th & Thursday 28th August 2025, 9:15 AM – 3:45 PM 📍 Where? Carnegie Library Hub, Herne Hill, SE24 0DG 💷 Price: £90 for both days (10% sibling discount available) 🎟️ Who? Ages 10+ | Ideal for confident performers or those with some drama experience 🎬 Sharing of work at 3:00 PM on Day Two – friends and family welcome! What’s it all about? Over two days, young performers will work together to devise a brand-new piece of theatre from scratch – building characters, shaping scenes, and exploring exciting performance techniques. With expert guidance, they'll learn how to collaborate, improvise, and refine their work like a real theatre company. Your child will: ✔️ Build advanced devising and ensemble skills ✔️ Explore a range of stimuli to develop original ideas ✔️ Use physical theatre, storytelling, and character creation ✔️ Learn how to shape, edit, and rehearse a devised piece ✔️ Work in age-based groups to develop ideas for performance ✔️ Share their work with an invited audience at the end of the workshop Led by experienced, DBS-checked, and first-aid-trained tutors, this workshop provides a supportive space for young creatives to take risks, try bold ideas, and grow in confidence. 🌟 Meet the Workshop Leaders The project will be led by Sarah Julia Cook and David Brook – both trained at the Royal Central School of Speech and Drama and experienced drama educators with a shared passion for youth-led theatre.
